I just wanted to do a little survey of how much power you guys are making and with what mods i.e....heads/cam, supercharger, stroker motor, turbo ...etc and with what car...not to much detail..
From: St. Peters MO Sometimes you have to prove yourself by doing alot of killing or alot of dying...
I'd like to see this too... and add one more question if I may (not trying to pirate), but there was a thread a while back asking 'what if' questions about adding a pro charger to an LT1 with a hotcam installed... has anyone done this, or a variation of?

Thats a good question, but i asked around and was told that there were cams made for supercharged engines that would work better or more efficient then the Hotcam....
maybe someone could add some light on that subject?
A little of the mark, but History Channel has a show called "Full Throttle" They pit two teams of two amatuer gears heads against each other. Each team is given as similar as possible to hop up with parts that show supplies, so the configurations are the same between the two cars.
The last show they had 88 IROC 5.7s. Stock, one car had 197 rwhp and the other had 207. After adding a Vortech supercharger, MSD and manifold back exhaust (no cats), they had around 320 rwhp.

i had a vortech S trim with a hot cam and afr 195 comp heads. It was on a 355, That combo was on a 10:1 cr, the high cr along with the SC was just too much for the ZZ4 crank. This combo produced so much crank case pressure which ended up bending the crankshaft and that was the end of it.
BTW: all of this happened within 1 week of the install.
That combo was never done right, I was trying to save money here and there and that is what I get. there are a lot of people that are using the hot cam with the SC. I had a buddy he recently moved to FL, he had a 94 camaro with a long rod 355, hot cam, cnc lt4 heads, and 13psi D-1. According to him, the car made 560 or so to the wheels.
Up from 230 to 420 on the 85. Comp 292 cam, Edelbrock 64 cc heads, 10.1 compression, Edelbrock performer rpm intake, and Edelbrock 700 carb, with manual secondaries. Long tube headers, with true duals.
I drive them both equally. Each about twice a week. I have a daily driver I use every day and on nice days and weekends I take turns between the Vette and NSX.
Im so jellous. I want a NSX. One question tho, i know, totally off subject...but how does the vette compair to the NSX? I mean, really, there is a good argument that there is no compairson...but come on, let me in on the goodies.
snoopdan
oh, and if ANYONE calls your NSX a ricer, Rick James Bitchslap them Plz.
Its hard to compare the two that way. They are totally different to drive. Anyone that says one is better than the other has not driven them side by side for over a year. The Vette is a 500hp monster and the NSX has a more liner, smooth power delivery. I have ran a best of 12.9@106mph in the NSX. But it only has 277hp to the tires and is not built to go in a straight line. It is also a 13 year old car with no squeaks and rattles and still smells new. The NSX does everything exceptionally well. If I was going on a long country drive through some twisty back roads I would pick the NSX. If I was going out to stomp a local friend at the drags I would take the Vette. As for taking one out to get my daily fix on adrenaline...take your pick. When I drive either one my heart feels like it wants to jump out of my chest. They are both great cars, they just go about being great in two different ways.

Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
