Default vented dist. cap?

hello again! went to get my dist and cap kit cap kit 230.00 vented cap for 95-96 models 130.00 question is will the vented cap work on my 94 if so is there anything different i would have to do? i see the vented cap looks the same physically other than a small tube coming out the bottom which i am assuming is the vent. if this will work do you have to hook anything to that tube or does it just vent straight out that tube on the bottom? any help would be greatly appreciated

If it were me I would run a vac hose to the top of the engine so water can't get into the vent hole.
The LT4 opti uses a vac hose conected to the intake to draw vaccum so the water does not stay in the dist.Look up the dyna spark dist .

You will need to run the fresh air hose to the bottom 3 holes in the opti as-per this tip, http://www.corvettefever.com/howto/16758
Here's a pic of mine after I got done. http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/phot...optivent02.JPG
