ok guys, I rebuilt my engine (87 L-98 daily driver) and went 30 over and 10 under and upped the cam one level. I had the chip reprogrammed and the burner set the rpm in gear at 700. The car now wants to "walk" through the brakes while in gear at stop lights. 2 people have mentioned that i should replace the torque converter as it is probably locking up too soon. A 2800 stall speed has been recommended but I have no idea if that is the right choice or not, what brand is good or what is a good price to pay?
Can anyone shed some light on this subject for me?
Maybe make a recommendation? Where to buy?
All help is appreciated, Thanks in advance, Gary.

This is what I picked up with a 2800 stall. I will be installing it this weekend. I to have a high idle setting(850), hopeing it helps the pushing at the stoplights. http://www.edgeracingconverters.com/MildStreetEdge.htm

How do you drive the car? Do you take it to the strip? I have a 2600 rpm stall in my stock Crossfire, and I feel I could use a little more, but I race every week. I want/need the launch. If yours is mostly a daily driver, with little or no need of tire frying starts, a little conservatism may be in order. You should carefully assess your wants and needs.
A few years ago in my GTA I had the same problem. It was a bitch at the stoplights. I had to brake and step on the throttle to keep from killing the motor. I upped the stall to 2,000 and problem solved. I was very happy with performance after that.
CFI-EFI I drive the car daily and do not need tire frying starts.... Have too many lights between home and office but want good launch to have fun with and maybe munch on a ricer or two, they are very filling
I am trying to get this car running smooth again after the rebuild.....
Read the "leanDyno" post with interest as I too experienced the same problem with car leaning out during run. This is what led me to custom burning the chip. I have noticed some "pulsing or stumbling" at normal traffic speed. I am not sure if this is due to torque converter or some type of ignition problem.
any insight?
