Rear ride height

What is a good rear ride height?
How low can you go?
At this point the adjustment screws have several inches of threads left, and the spring is almost horizontal.
Thanks
Roger
I recently measured a C4 Corvette Challenge car to check the rear suspension setup. The inner half-shaft u-joint is about 1/2 inch higher than the outer u-joint with approximately 1/2 tank of fuel.
According to the Chevrolet service manual the inner camber adjuster bolt is 3.06 inches (77.6mm) higher than the outer camber rod bolt. This is with a stock camber bracket. The Smart Struts from VBP and others (Doug Rippie) lowers the inner bolt 3/4 inch.
Good luck.
I just had the wheels aligned, they had a tough time with the caster adjustments in the front which I have set right now at about 26.5 to the wheel wheel center in the front... the rear I had was set to 26.75 with a full tank of gas.
I have 4 inch speed bumps where I live, you wouldn't want to go lower I down't think... Realistically the lowest you would want to go would be probably 26.75 for the front and 27 -27.5 for the rear. I have 200 # springs in the rear so from full to empty the rear changes about .75 of an inch. I'm running 275 40 17 in the front and 315 35 17's in the rear.
Hope this helps,
MO

Is the ride height all in cranking down the rear spring?
Thanks Roger
You won't damage the stock spring, just pick up the longer lowering bolts.
The height adjusment is realy in the bolts and how long they are in relationship to the spring, the longer the bolt and the closer you are to the end off the bolt , the lower the rear end will go... You start getting lower than 26.5 in the rear, you start hitting the rubber stops and risk bottoming out your stock shocks...
