Does anyone have a XM radio in their C4?. If you do 1# where did you put the radio? 2# how did you run the wire? 3# where did you mount the Antiena? Thanks, Bob
I put one in my wifes Sebring vert and think you can put the antenna in the same location.
I lowered the top then routed the wire under the pillar trim and mounted the antenna on the windshield. I just lefet a little slack in the wire where it goes into the top gasket so hen the top compresses thegasket the wire doesn't pop. It worked out great and she always droping the top. Just be carefull that when you mount the XM display that you can see the display. I mounted it on top of her dash and the stupid mount will not go to a full 90 deg. position so it is angles slightly upward and very hard to see. Hope this helps
Mine is made my Pioneer. It was an add to my head unit via IP-Bus. I ran the wire behind the carpet. and mounted it where my old third brake light used to be....
I've head you can put the antenna under the rear bumper..
Mine is hardwired to my sony head unit via the changer port. The black box is behind the carpet on the passenger side - as far as the antenna goes, you can't mount it behind the bumper, it's gotta be exposed to the sky, etc.....they make them small enough now to where you can put them up on the dash and they're barely visible. Mine is on the passenger side dash, in the very upper corner.
On my 87 I replaced the Bose deck with an Alpine unit with built in XM. I used the Ecklers adapter so I could use my Bose speakers. I mounted the antenna in the back at the rear so the little antenna could get a clear view of the sky through the rear hatch glass. I can email a pic if you need to see where I mounted it. PM me and I can explain it as well. The whole system works like a charm. You will really enjoy XM or Serious.
