LT-1 or LT1?
I realize that this is **** to the extreme, but....
Was the old ('70's) engine the LT1 and the newer one the LT-1?
Or visversa?
I seem to remember that Chevy either added or subtracted the hyphen to differentiate between the two.
I'm thinking it's old = LT1, new = LT-1.
Who knows?

The LT-1 was the solid lifter motor from the early 70's. The 1970 motor was 370HP and in 71 it dropped to 335HP and in 72 (the last year) it dropped to 255HP.In 1970, there was even a RPO ZR1 "special purpose engine package" for all of $968.95 and 25 were made.
The LT-1 option was under $500.
