Default MISSING>>>><<<<?

OK well this car its getting on my nerves...LOL...
Anyway its a 91 and it seems to have a dead miss.I replaced wires, cap, rotor, coil, fuel filter,,also did a fuel pressure check and turned it from 50 down to 44lbs....timmed it back to 6* ...And ran my scanner on it and everything seems fine.If I put the car in drive and sit still idling, every 45 seconds to a minute it misses hard.I can also feel it when driving down the road if I ease on the gas.
I was thinking a bent valve but if that was the case it would constintley miss..tomarrow I am going to go to the shop and do a leak down test,....
Anyway if anyone has any idea on anything else it could be please post it.thanks guys...hopefully I will figure it out tomarrow

I have replaced all the plugs too........even though its missing its still faster than a 03 lightening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My buddy has a black one and we raced 65 to 130 and i gained at least 2 cars on him...not to bad for a 91 compared to a 03, but then again it was a ford....

ok, whats the gap?

And street racing kills are not permitted on the forum... with all the deaths resulting from street racing, and the nature of modern society, if the forum permits bragging, means that we support it, and someone could sue the forum for such support, if they do it and someone gets killed.

ok i did a compression check and all read 125lbs but #6....it came back 160lbs???????I think I have a bad injector on that cylinder and its filling the rings with gas there for giving me the high reading..the plug looks good and has no sighn of oil present.although it does smell of gas pretty bad....does anybody else have any other ideas before I take my plenum off and change the injector????thanks guys.

I shouldn't gain compression on #6 if I had a cam/valve/spring problem..I think if that was the case I would have low compression on that cylinder.I know its not oil and the only other thing that I can think of that would cause high compression would be gas in the cylinder causing the rings to seal.(open injector).........anybody every experianced something like this from a factory engine?

I'm sorry that no one else has responded and I don't have an answer for you.

If you're sure it's the injector. You could disconnect it (wiring harness)@ cylinder #6 and recheck compression in that cylinder. If the compression goes to the normal range like the rest, you were right

My thoughts on the valve\cam issue was maybe they were staying closed too long. Thus, building compression.

I hope someone will chime in here with better insight to help you out.
