1987 ABS Problem
I have a 1987 Vette. When I am stopped and the car is running at idle my ABS system seems to be doing system check like when you first start the car. It doesn't happen when I am driving and hit the brakes. It only happens when the brakes are depressed and the car is sitting at idle. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas what is wrong with my car?

I once sorted a vette with a similar ploblem, when i took the rear sensors out, they were full of gunk

Abs
Have you messed with anything under the driver side panel? I recently dropped the panel to wire a relay into my alarm system. It did the same thing.When driving, I would try and take off before the code sequence would end so it would not do a abs check on the brakes, fail and the service abs light would stay on after that. The wiring to the ALDL apparently was loose, grounded to something, I'm not sure. The flashing abs light did stop when I redropped the lower panel to check for problems. Before I replaced the lower panel I tuck the wiring up slowly and once up I would turn on the ignition to make sure the light didn't start its flashing seq. I thought I knocked something loose when I was under there. Check the wiring to the ALDL, jiggle it. Thats all mine turned out to be. Good luck
