Default lt4 intake question

i have a 92 lt1. would the lt4 intake be a direct fit. would i gain anything by going to an lt4 intake? what do they normally run?

It will bolt up, but the ports won't line up. The LT4 intake has taller ports. I'm not sure if you can port your LT1 heads to match the intake.
Best thing would be to buy heads at the same time, but you're talking about $1000 or so for LT4 heads.

You can pick up the intake pretty cheap -- about $185 from superior chevy (that's where I got my spare).

Actually you will see a performance decrease for the reason mentioned above. In order to gain any benefit from the LT4 intake, you need the heads too. You are better off spending the $$$ to rework what you have rather than spend it buying LT4 stuff.
