how much to port plenum?
Does anybody know of a shop in the chicagoland area that will port my plenum? It's off of an '85 TPI motor. I just scored some new runners, and am planning on doing a 52mm throttle body. Anybody know how much porting the plenum will run?
Is porting the plenum really necessary to realize the performance gain inherent in the oversized runners?

Though I don't know that you will realize any power gains from the porting, it's always a good idea to have the air flow path matched.
If you don't have a Dremel or don't want to do the job yourself I think TPIS does porting.
