Default Bad CATALYST

Well I jumped into the car today and let it warm up. Rattling noise starts up. Never heard that before. Chased it down and the Right side Cat is gone. Looks like I will be having the nightmare of removing the exhaust manifolds. Not looking forward to this. Anyways, I would love to do headers but too much trouble in this state. I also dont want to pull these things again so here is my question. Where do the O2 sensors mount on the 93-95 exhaust manifolds. Do they mount in the CATS like the 90-92 manifolds do. Definately want to be able to change out cats w/o pulling the manifolds if need be in the future. Looking at options. Ideas appreciated.

Greg.

You have a good question, Greg. I think the mounting location of the O2 sensors is similiar, and I believe that the wire will recah. I seem to remember this discussion before, and extension wires are wvailable (from header guys). But I think the existing ones will work.

If I were doing it, I would go to the newer version, just like you described.

Question? how did you conclude that it is the cat? I assume you took it apart?

Regards,

Yeah I think they will reach, but if not I will have to extend like you mentioned.

I havent taken it apart yet, but I noticed it by the rattling inside the CAT.
