SGC Twin Turbo ZR1 Dyno Chart
Final tuning complete and the verdict is in.
550hp@wheels
520ft-lbs@wheels
Hats off to Jim Smith for his relentless effort in tuning this thing. Thanks for not giving up.
Special thanks for Graham Behan of LPE for his continual technical support throughout this build. Graham was also supportive in helping us tune this motor and work through some of the problems we were having.
Can't forget to give KUDOS to Aaron Scott and SGC for bringing me onboard to work on this project. Aaron has a nice shop and I would recommend him to anyone who wants some good honest work.
Finally, I would like to thank myself for doing a damn good job on this PIA project!
I had the pleasure of driving the car today and it indeed feels strong. First and second gear are worthless at full throttle and third gear fights to stay hooked up. Car pulls strong to 7K and doesn't seem to give up any power. Real power comes on ~3.5K rpm when peak torque begins to hit. Look forward to seeing some track results with this thing, but I expect to see well over 130mph.
Wayne, you're gonna have fun with this and I don't think you will be dissapointed.

Thanks Cam, I got close. This reminded me of the tunning on my supercharged car. The initial numbers were far from what we eventually got. With proper fuel supply, this car should easily handle 8 psi. and with it, a few more ponies still.

Well, I dont know what to say except thanks to Aaron , James, Graham , Jim and their wifes for putting up with all the late nights and hard work. Tuning is about 98 % but we left it a litle fat to be safe. Aaron called me yesterday morning and ask me if I had recieved his fax? I said no I was not at home and what was up? He said well we have final numbers and he had just got back from a drive in the car....temp was 62 outside and the car ran very well......you could not hook up 1st or 2nd gear and he rolled into 3rd gear at 80mph and again the tires brook lose....( the TT loves cool air just like the 415 ). The TT made 93 more tq than my 415 at 3500rpm and holds it for a long time...The most impressive thing is that the time it took for both cars with 373 gears to reach 6700 rpm from 3300rpm the TT got there in .88 seconds faster than my 415. Remember the 415 pulled 570.8rwhp and 494.5rwtq. When I drove this car last week before tuning was done the car felt strong but it would bust up very soon after you got into it because it was lean.....I will go down in the next few days to test the car again. As stated early in this post..... more power is there by insreasing the boost.....We will wait on Stage II for that....lower compression, port work, increasing cubic inches, etc., etc., then the fun starts.....with the torq shown on the sheet it will be very intresting. Again thanks to all involved with this project, I have wanted one of these for a long time........Wayne

OHHHHHHHHHH NO!!! That sucks - time to get some random tech cats hooked up onto that beast! You've got cams in it too - could be fun getting it to pass - get friendly with the alcohol! Either way - look forward to seeing both you southern gentlemen at BG!

There is no testing in Idaho where I live. I'll register it and keep it clean for you here.

Congrats Wayne--you've waited a long time. How long until Stage II starts?
