How do you tell if it is a ZR1
I am looking at purchasing a 92 Corvette. There is a thing on the cigarette lighter cover that says the car is a ZR1. How can I verify that this is true.

besides that, up where you put the shifter into 1st (all ZR-1's are 6 speeds) there will be the power key, look for 2 black bars between the plate and the back up lights, the Rear wheels will be 315-35-ZR-17. the motor of course, and the tie down straps for a flat time in the cargo area. It will also have every option avaiable on the vette. The Vin will be 1G1YZxxxxxxx as opposed to 1G1YY.

Did all 91-96 vettes have these tie downs, or was this just ZR-1 specific? I thought they were standard.

Other visual ques are that it has a noticably wider rear deck. There will be additional spacers around the license plate because of the extra width. Third brake light on the rear window. ZR1 badges on the front fenders. Deep dish wheels in the rear.
It will also run slower then all get out of the power key is not engaged.
