There are a couple of reasons. When it rains, all the junk you wash off the top of your car is still coated all over the bottom of your car and the engine compartment. Those areas are very difficult to wash. Also, with the big rear tires, traction in the rain is marginal. Everyone knows that more accidents occur in the rain as well. You have to watch out for those bad drivers twice as much.

If it's already raining I won't leave the house in it, but if there's only a chance of rain I'll go. The biggest obstacle for me driving in the rain is cleaning the undercarriage, the inside of the wheels, and the wheel wells; I just don't consider the car clean unless ALL of the car is clean....yes, I'm picky....

Nope, my car is too clean. Vetting in the rain is not fun to me anyways, My 1990 is without ASR and that equals big problems on wet roads too! ;)
