Default Anyone familiar with a steelblue 91 around huntington beach?

Found a steel blue 91 for sale (black int) I believe to be in huntington beach. I'm waiting for the owner to get back to me with the VIN. This car was apparently in a magazine

This car was featured in the September 2004 issue (Vol. 28, No. 9) of Vette Magazine – pages 32-35 of that issue.

I swear I've seen this car before... That is to say, I've seen a steel blue ZR-1 with the endurance sticker like this one has, a few years ago. But that was in Sacramento.

I know it might be a long shot asking, but the car is nearly 500 miles away.

Thanks for any info anyone can provide.

Here is the vin: 1G1YZ23J1M5800395

(I'm not asking to bum a record check, I already paid for carfax and this beast is clean, just want to know if anyone knows this car before I invest in a round trip ticket and car rental)

Also, I need to learn to drive stick _really_ fast.

I've only seen one other Steel Blue in person and that color is mystical. That Z looks to have been kept very clean. I would definately consider buying that car if I was in the market.

I would love to hear the history of it too.

Yes... if you take your shoes off 1st ! j/k

It might be a little tight... but you will find the least intrusive shoes before long...
Enjoy the ride !

Kale, I just wanted to make sure this wasn't the same steel blue that a previous female forum member owned....I think the story was that it had been wrecked, and had frame problems.......looks like this one would not be the same car.....forum experts chime in.

BTW, tht color is absolutley sick!

This is a lot of car for your first stick.

Here is a link to buyers guide for ZR-1s it is great info!

Is this the same Steel Blue Z that was for sale by Conte's Corvettes in NJ recently? The pictures posted above are the same pictures that were on the Conte web site when they had the car for sale.

Just for the record, that car was not wrecked technically. Nor was the frame damaged in any way. The floor boards got crushed and the fiberglass was cracked down there in a few spots. Which was repaired flawlessly. Only way you could tell was, the fact that the bottom was scrape free instead of looking like the typical C4 underside.

I was going to buy steel buy car at Contes last year, they would have let it go for 27500, however it had the rear bumper repainted due a fender bender.

I've got 13s, only had width problems in a pair of Steel Toe Sketchers, the gas pedal is the tightenest one for me. You won't have much room, but I've daily driven mine in LA traffic for years now, I just can't put my left foot down so expect a few shin splints in traffic. Learned to drive stick on a '87 Toyota Corolla, then went ZR-1 shopping. Owner tossed me the keys and said "have fun". Was pretty proud of myself on the test drive until the engine warmed up and all h*ll broke loose. I'd recommend trying to rent a car with stick and learn on that, practice getting the car to move on a steep hill from a dead stop without rolling backwards or riding the clutch...

I always thought so too! I never understood why it wasn't more popular.
