What makes this deal better is that Car Toys has the Pioneer unit on sale for $1399 and there are two factory incentives that are really nice. First they throw in this portable GPS for free(retail $599)

Then there is a $200 rebate on the installation. So that softened the blow a little.

very nice...I'm hopping to get a simliar unit installed by the end of the year to early next year. That pioneer unit looks sweet in there. They did a great install. Good choice.

Wow! This is great.....this means I can buy this car for less than I offered last year for it, before I bought mine; right?...........now that it's been butchered!

Great looking install!!

To a lot of audiophile types, Bose has never represented a real high standard. An old saying used to be....No highs, no lows, must be Bose.

I remember thinking when GM started putting Bose stuff in the `vette, "can't they do any better than that?"

Default Modify Faceplate

Did you have to modify the faceplate opening?

I think that's the D1. It's an older model that's heavily discouted now.

Holy Cow!! That came out fantastic! Maybe something to think about once I get all the other things taken care of. Thanks for sharing!

FYI: The Bose name has never really been much of anything. Their reputation is all a product of great marketing. Sadly, the performance of their products have never matched the performance of their marketing department.

Does it still have the nav feature? I really like how yours looks but I just can't spend that much on a radio right now

It's the same one I posted not too long ago.

Remember... You said you wouldn't waist your money on this, instead you would do other mods...

Chris...........yes. Thanks. I sent you a private message, but I'll sell the Bose Gold system for $250. One rear speaker needs a new amp.

Here's an idea what they're going for on ebay: http://tinyurl.com/fpsr4

does anyone know if the old system has most of the same features as this one? I really like the set up, but I can't spend that kind of money on a radio right now
