I think....
....if you take out the ECM and flip it over & open the door to the PROM you could read who's name is on it. I know that my PROM is a OEM one & I can read the PROM code just by taking the 4(?) 7mm bolts off & lifting the door off.

If you aux. fans come on at 200 degress instead of 230 then you more than likly have a chip. Turn your air off and see when you fans come on. I'm sure there are other ways this is just the one that popped into my head.
