Anyone know the specs flow & pressure for our fuel pump? Also interested in the specs for the L98 pump?
TIA

While I don't know the exact specs I do know that the pressure is ~42-48 PSi. I also know that the pumps for the L98 and LT5 are the same internally...its just that the LT5 has two pumps rather than one.
Thanks for responding Uly.. What started this whole question, a friend of mine lost his fuel pump on his 97 L98 and the week before @ cruiseFest in Colorado Springs I lost my primary pump. I have since don some investigating. They are different. The L98 pump is rated at 50PSI & 16 GPH, the pump for the LT5 is rated at 65PSI & 18 GPH.. The regulator brings the pressure down to the 42 – 48 PSI. Also from what I have found so far is that the suburban pump is not even close in pressure or volume. This car is a continual learning process. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

I agree about the learning process! Isn't the internet a great research tool? I love what I can find out...whatever the case...here's what's in my tank.
Airtex E3904 In Tank Electric Fuel Pump (J) (2 Fuel Pumps Required, ZR-1, DOHC) - you can get these at Autozone.
I wouldn't think the 50 vs 65 PSI or 16 vs 18 GPH would make a helluva lot of difference considering that the regulator is inline and drops it to what is required. Maybe I'm wrong...
I have no issues with fuel starvation. I still have my original pumps in my toolbox...there's nothing wrong with them. I misdiagnosed the problem...turned out to be my ECM...that was a few years ago.
