Default Beware - ZR1 Spark Plug Wires

Beware of a person on the ZR1Net by the name of Bob D. in Ohio who is advertising NOS ZR1 spark plug wires for sale on the parts for sale board. I purchased a set from him and was assured that they were NOS and still in the factory sealed bag. What I received were used, take-off wires that were worn, gouged and cracked. The original bag turned out to be a zip lock baggie. When I asked to return them he called me a scammer. I have owned many ZR1s over the last 15 years and I still own a 600 mile Purple Metallic 1995 which I will never sell. I know what new wies should look like. Please be careful of this person and don't make the same mistake that I did. I have notified the ZR1 Net web site so I hope they take his deceptive ad off the board. Has this happened to anyone else?

Does he own a ZR-1? Does the Ohio State ZR-1 Director know of him?

Default Beware - ZR1 Spark Plug wires

Guys, I didn't post his name because I wasn't sure if I would violate the rules of this forum but here goes: Robert "Bob" Davis of Ohio at
330-618-8545 or bobdavis224@yahoo.com. I doubt he actually owns a ZR1 and I even suggested that maybe he was misled about the wires when he purchased them. His response was to immediately assume that I was scamming him since the wires were obviously new. I have not posted on the ZR1 Net yet (which I will do next) but I did immediately send an email to the ZR1 registry in hopes they would take his ad off the board. I have bought and sold several ZR1s and ZR1 parts off the ZR1Net and have never been cheated. My mistake but I trusted Mr. Davis. These are definately not new wires and the original bag was just a zip lock baggie. At this point I will just take the hit as I have no recourse but I did point out to him that the honorable thing to do would be to refund my payment less shipping and handling. It's not a money thing, I just hate to get burned when I have always had great luck in the ZR1 family. You can call Roger J. at Roger's Corvette as he knows me very well and can vouch for my knowledge of ZR1s. Thanks and I hope this prevents others from getting burned.

Barry,

He advertised them as NOS & Sent you used? That seems very strange Bob would do this. He's been on here a few times trying to sell an LT5 motor.

What sort of money did you pay, NOS wires would be at least $300.00 or more, but used would be around $100-$150

Default Beware ZR1 Spark Plug Wires

I paid Mr. Davis $400 as his price was firm. He seemed like a nice person and I thought he maybe made a mistake but he came after me like a lion once I stated my disappointment. Be careful with this guy as he is as sly as a fox.

For years, Rogers has offered some of the finest cars available. While the cars may be higher priced, they are priced right for the level of quality that he consistently offers.
That would not seem to warrant such a statement.

Hey there Bob Davis, why don't you step up to the plate and answer this accusation. I am pretty sure that if you have ZR-1 wires for sale, you are aware of the Forum.
