Default New ZR1 Owner

Hello to all, I purchased a 1991 ZR1 and drove it home today. It was a 650 mile trip and it performed flawlessly for basically sitting for 16 years. It now has 4033 miles on it and I think it did it alot of good to get it out on the road. I have had Corvettes in the past, but this is my first ZR1. It is absolutely bone stock, the guy that bought it paid 10K over sticker in 1991, drove it for 3 months and basically built a shrine garage around it after that. Here is the link to it, let me know if its ok.

No, it is absolutely not OK!

I would instead say it is GREAT!!!!

A new ZR-1 for the price of an Altima.

Great deal!! car looks exactly as it should with 3k miles.
one owner minimizes/eliminates much of the gueswork.
find his name; call him, and ask him to share the car's history
most are happy to do so!
Good find!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now go enjoy it again!!!
Welcome!
Marty

Thanks for the comments. I have to say I was pretty darn happy today. I have always wanted a ZR1 since they came out in 1990. I thought I would wait until the prices came down to the point that I could afford one and then I would buy a used one. This one is as close to new as I can get.

Regards, Bill

Congrats on a beautiful Z (of course I'm prejudiced toward black with red interior) And of course, reds, blues, greens etc.... Now seriously was it what you expected?

It was actually better than expected. I thought my 1964 coupe 327/365hp pulled hard through the gears, this car really impressed me. I have always thought the ZR1 was an impressive car and couldn't believe that Chevy actually built it. I have said this before, but this may be my last Corvette.

Welcome to the Brotherhood of the Beast!

Don't make the mistake of the previous owner, get in and drive it like you stole it!!

Us ZR1 owners have an illness called "PermaGrin", it looks like this:

Hearing the LT5's siren song at 7200 RPMS will have that effect on pretty much anybody.

Congrats!!

thats what I always thought, it reminded me of my 65 365, the way it comes on about 2700 rpm and jumps to 7000.

Absolutely beautiful but you might want to pull those tires for some new ones before you do further 7000 RPM runs through the gears !!

Nice Vette. I just bought my own ZR-1 with 40,000 on the clock and I'm absolutely in love with the car. I've owned an '88 35th Anniversary Edition before and my fiance has a 2007 Z51 Convertible, but the ZR-1 has been my dream since I was a little kid. Congrats on your car and I hope you're enjoying it as much as I enjoy mine!
