What is better? OEM tires up front and a different set in back, or a different matching set all around? Or should I shop for gatorbacks?

I don't claim to know the answer, I just posed the question. But thanks for your input, it's valuable and not insulting.

Just to be clear, when I used the word "OEM" it was followed by the word "size" or "sizes". I'm not talking about buying the OEM tires, rather tires in the OEM size. I don't think anyone, except some folks who want them for show, is trying to buy Gatorbacks to put on their car.

Buying in the OEM size though is fairly understandable, or it is to me anyway. There's no concern about speedo inaccuracy, traction control/ABS performance, or fitment/rubbing issues. And there are more well-defined ideas of safe/appropriate tire pressures. Not everyone wants to learn by experimentation on their car.

Unfortunatley I learned the hard way a year ago when I had a blow out on my ZR with GSD-3's. I could not get a replacement rear as everything was back ordered and had to wait. I will be going to 18's as I can't wait for GY and am also switching brands. Too bad b/c the
GSD-3 is a great overall tire in my opinion. But I need to know I can get stock when I need it not several months later with my car in the garage. I ended up putting on a set of BFG DR's to keep the car mobile.

Ok, so does anyone make 11" wide 18" wheels with the correct offset that will not break the bank?

I just wrapped my Z up with Verdsteins. So far, they're doing fine but honestly, I could run full race slicks... I don't think we'll see any rain in the next 6 months!!!

FYI: Bob up in Oregon has been using the 335's for quite a while. He had them on when he came down for the vegas gathering in 2006. They looked great and fit the wheel well much better. Judging from his runs out at the track they performed well, too.

It does come in sizes for C4's. Some C4's. But not ZR-1s. Looks like just cars with 275/40-17's all around.

I would have considered these on the Aurora though. But they hadn't come out yet when I put my Eagle ResponseEdge tires on it. Not sure I'd want an all-season tire on the 'vette though. Just a good wet/dry tire.

They look very cool on a stock wheel that's been widened.
I have 335 kuhmos on my salad slicers, They fit more like a 325 than 335, so they fit pretty good. I am happy with them.

The F1GSD-3's are in stock. Goodyear had a strike a while back and are producing the D-3's again.

I have 1 new rear F1S/C Goodyear tire....still hunting for another. The F1S/C tire is discontinued

TireRack now shows BFG TA KD's in both stock sizes (front and rear). They didn't two weeks ago. Hmmm...
