On the site we can't mention. It's black/black.

Hey thanks for posting that, let me go outside and kick a hole in my door now.
Big difference between restored and new original, that thing is perfect.

That sure is one fine looking time capsule. I hope it either goes to some one who wants to keep it for show....that car is sooo clean.....
but part of me wants to see the car and a new owner have some fun together....out on the road. It's almost a shame though. How to make a one footer look like a ten footer, drive it all the time!

He must have driven it since taking the pictures, the ad says 61 miles... Good to see he enjoyed it a bit before it goes.
It's sort of cool to see these time capsule cars, to see how they were delivered, how the keys came, stuff like that. But really, who cares. These things were made to do 100mph down the highway.
I'm starting to understand why in the early/mid 1990's I never saw a single ZR-1 on the road. And I grew up in a fairly yuppie area where people could afford a car like that. It was such an unfrequent event that I actually remember the two times I saw ZR-1's when I owned my '87. I saw a black '90 on the road once in traffic near my job, and there was a white '91-93 at the University of Maryland. Mostly I saw the white one parked, but I saw it driving twice. At least the guy drove it to work. What a shame that there were thousands of these cars out there, but they were only being driving to "maintain proper lubrication".

These cars will never be "Barn Finds."
Reckon we'll coin the phase, "Climate Controlled Garage Find."
Just wait until the C6 ZR1 (if that is the term used) comes out. Those garage cars will flood the auctions - - - all those investors looking to cash in on their investments!

Just think of the amount of money the original owner(assuming it is the original owner) is going to lose on this sale. He probably paid around $80,000 for it, will probably sell it for around $50,000. Now assume he had financed it and adjust for inflation, call it a conservative $120-$130purchase price. Talk about a bad investment, and obviously he only bought it as an investment and has grown tired of waiting to reap the rewards. Imagine the return on that $80,000 if properly invested, probably $180k over the initial investment. That's a lot of money this guy paid to own a car he never enjoyed.

Ill bet it sells for $32k or less. It truly is a beautiful car, but 30 miles in all those years, that cant be enough. Oh well, its a time capsule, what can ya say? (except drool).

The really sad thing is that there's probably Hundreds more 1990 ZR-1's out there just like this one.
I think I saw some time ago (the ZR1 Net Registry maybe??) that about half of the 3049 of 1990's had been accounted for.
The other half had apparently been hidden away in dark little corners awaiting the day when they became as valuable as a '67 L-88 or a '69 ZL1.
Obviously that hasn't happened and probably won't happen any time soon.
What really perks my curiosity, is why is this person selling this car now?
Now that the prices are rock bottom?
The new C06 ZR-1 hasn't debuted yet, so he not selling it to step up to the plate.
He/she didn't drive his original ZR1 so what's the point of selling at such a loss?
I just don't get it.

I'm just glad that they are coming out of the wood work. I just bought my 91 with 3366 on the clock. It runs just like new, even after sitting for 16 years. I paid about 1/3 of what the original owner paid and I am having all of the fun.
