Default Inquiring price on 91 ZR-1 exhaust for a friend

Good News: I posted some pictures in the ZR-1 picture thread of a black 91' and I told a brief story of how I lost contact with the owner after I helped him fix it. Well, I stuffed a note under his old warehouse that he was renting back in my hometown while I was there for Christmas break from college and I lucked out and he called just last night.

Bad News: The Z apparently wasn't done causing us problems: a failed starter was the new thing since last time I've talked to him and unfortunately was the last straw for him, prompting him to sell it.

However, he still has the original exhaust system not including the cats and he was wondering what he could expect to get for the exhaust if he sells it?

Sidenote: Also, the guy was telling me he never wanted the Z to be jumped off with cables should it have a dead battery. He told me the surge of current could possibly damage the electronics throughout the car. He also said before he purchased the car from the previous owner back in the early 90's, the car had been jumped off after suffering a dead battery. Since then, I've also beared witness to the malfunctioning power window motors which randomly chose to operate, a stereo system that quit and a couple of other electrical gremlins that he's chased down over the years. Was a low mileage Z with 40K on the odo.

He works on restoring old arcade machines as a hobby so I figured he had a pretty good idea of how electric current worked.

Thanks for the reply.

That is just a bit too far for me to make a quick run from the Nashville, TN area.

Sorry about that and I understand, I see a lot of nice things on here that are too far away, unfortunately 99.9% of the time. Oh that and they're beyond my budget.

Any idea what a good price is for this exhaust though? Once I get something concrete, I'm suppose to call him and let him know what to expect, or better yet, I'll just ask him if he minds me posting his phone number on here in the parts for sale section tomorrow, along with this item description and see what happens.

No idea. In the past some have given them away just to free up some space.

I love this statement!

Sounds like something you'd hear on a Dukes of Hazzard line before commercial!
