Well friday evening driving home from work my master or slave cylinder or both went poo poo kakaa. Clutch pedal went all the way to the floor. I found a rebuilt master cylinder on line buy now price $99.00. It says its for a 91-95 zr1 so I'm not sure it will work fo a 90. Maybe some one here can tell me. Other wise I'll call Corey Henderson monday and ask him. Then I can work on getting the slave cylinder.
get ahold of bill boudreau zfdoc.com . he is the guy when its clutch or trans work .. even corey will tell ya bill is top of the line here . tell em i sent ya was there last week for one of his blueprinted trans installs.
You could be right. It just went to the floor like what ever the pedal was hooked to just came loose. No leaks at all. I will look at it today. My gut tells me a connection just came loose.
Ok, On my 90 the master cylinder is behind the battery sticking out of the fire wall. And yes its empty. The master cylinder thats in my car looks plastic and the reservour is located in the middle. And the fitting of the 1/4 copper or stainlees tube that runs down is at the end of the cylinder. The only difference I can see with that and the one for sale online is that its cast iron, and the location of the reservour is at the end of it, not in the middle.
I would service the master, pull the computer out of the way so you can access it.
fill it bleed the system and see if you can find the leak. I have seen bad lines and the big dogs were still ok just leaked from the male fiting on the line.
