Default What can you tell me about my totaled 91 ZR1.

Hello,
This is a new parts car my work just got in, and im doing some research on its past.

91 ZR1, car only has 14k miles that was nice to find out seeing that I gambled by not knowing when I bought it.

Vin- 1G1YZ23J1M5801966

Questions
What production number is the car?
Was anyone on here the owner? I have the owners name but of course im not going to put it out there.

The car has Wilwood brakes on the front, Corsa exhaust, Headers, and some other goodies. Basically, its not hard to tell the person who owned it LOVED it.

Dont worry, its not being fixed..Its being parted out salvaged out etc.. Someone will be very to have the parts off this car, for his or her custom application or collecting purposes.

So, any help would be nice. Thanks
-Tom

Production number is 1966 (last 4 digits of VIN). If you know the owner, maybe you could contact them privately and get a lot of information.

What, if anything, was done to the LT5 (engine) will be important when you go to sell it.

Oh, I didn't know anyone was hurt. Bad? Maybe someone else knows the car. Is it from the Ohio area where you are?

Bunch of Texas guys on this forum. Hopefully they can help. You might want to go over to www.zr1netregistry.com and click the forum button at the top and join and post there. Many ZR-1's banned from this site.

The rear clip looks like it was removed, does not look like collision damage to the rear........Was it a recovered theft?

Probably not that rare, unless you can find out details about what else might have been done to the engine.

Do your research, the first parts asked for in this thread or via PM are the most rare and worth the most $$$$

Apparently this ZR-1 was sold at auction by Insurance Auto Auctions on Dec 30th in Dallas.

See this link for full details:
