ZR-1's Sold at Barrett-Jackson SCOTTSDALE 2010
Looking at this auction if I'm reading this correctly, these two 1995 & 2010 ZR-1's sold as a pair for $82,500. That's for the pair? These didn't pull too much on this auction. I know the market is soft, but this is unreal! This pretty much is setting the stage for the prices this year for what it's looking like to be a rough year for car values.

The prices for Corvettes seemed down this year. One thing that caught my attention were the '87 Buick GNX's. Lot 980 sold for $75.9 with 4K miles, Lot 987.1 sold for $68K with 7K miles, and Lot 1036 sold for 104K with 1200 miles. The GNX had a MSRP for $29K, with 276HP and a total of 547 were made. How do you justify this price? I saw recently a '94 ZR-1 on Ebay with 9K miles was bid only to $28K with a BUY-It-Now price of $34K. The pair of ZR-1's that sold at BJ was really heavily priced for the new 2010 one, the '95 only comes out to about $30K. I realize cars bring a premium at BJ but we are way under valued unless a Turbo is more technically advanced than 4 Cams sans pushrods.

It's just too bad they did “sell in pair only” as you really can't get an actual reference on the value of each car really sold for!

Comparing the GNX and a ZR-1 is apples and oranges. Sure they were both low volume and high performance, but they have different appeal. Plus, the Z is one level above the base car, the GNX is two. It's a special version of a special version of a Regal.
