So I have now read several opinions and have been told of several good tires. none of which are made in the sizes that I would like to have. The michelins that I am currently running have become harder than a rock. Seems like a few don't care for the Kuhmo's. Has anybody used the perelli's. The reason I asked for a comparison on the two is because they are the only ones that I have found that makes the sizes I want. Are there other brands available in 285/40 and 335/35 X17.

It just so happens there is a thread regarding tires on the autox/racing forums. I would suggest you see what they have to say about the Khumo Xs . These people actually drive their cars hard and compete with them. I would value their opinion over others who have never owned the XS tire. Just a suggestion.
