Default A few questions

1. I noticed on the rear wheels of the car it has a 1/2" wheel spacer. Anyone knows why? (The wheels are 36mm offset)

2. Looks like I got a hole on the rear brake braided brake line. (From the master cylinder rear to a short U shape pipe to a braided line to under the car.) Where can I get this line? Or know the shape of the flair. Since the U shape flair is different from under the car.

I had a braided person make one. But he used the U shape pipe as a template....

One of my buddy that has a ZR1 does not have this feature. Is this a one off year?

#1) If there's spacers and the wheels are not out of the fender, 50mm off set!

#2) Not sure if I understand correctly, need pix!

The rim reads 36mm offset.

Here is the line I'm taking about. I'm leaning towards a bad flair.
Its fun buying used cars

Under the car. With the camara upside down.

I believe the whole C4 89-up uses ISO/DIN "bubble" flares.

Our 91 has the same U-shaped "adapter" setup.

You attached a picture of the front of the rim. It won't show the offset on the front, you have to look on the back of the spokes. Just because it has a deep inset lug area doesn't mean it is a ZR-1 offset.

Also, the brake line just looks like it's been replaced. The GM part is discontinued, so maybe someone improvised with some adapters.

That is not the stock rim for a 1990; reasoning indicates it does not have the correct offset, and is not a ZR-1 wheel. Many rims out there that look like ZR-1 wheels, but do not have the correct offset. I.E. Camaro rims, aftermarket, etc......

1. I went to the hose and fitting guy in my town. The changed out the
stock ends to a 3/8NF IFF Hose-end

2. Wheel. I'll pull them off and take a pic of the inside. If you guys say
its a 50mm. Might not be so bad since I have 4 sets of 17x11 50mm
from my 89

Just fixed the no start issue. Dang clutch switch. Next is California smog. Just a tad high on the CO% 0.80 @ 25MPH. State requires 0.60. Change oil, spark plugs, better fuel.... Then take it on a 100 mile run

Thanks for you help

yep those brake lines are no longer available, if your parts guy was able to hook you up with a new line that will work it will be fine just not correct for NCRS, other than that it just needs to function.

If your buddy doesnt have the same brake master his will be different I think the u shaped hard line is a 90-92 model year part.

I know all 90s had this type u fitting. I sold the last ones I had about a year ago and the SS lines are no longer available.
