Gasket Question
Is there a gasket between the filler neck and the gas tank? I'm in the process of replacing my fuel pumps and wanted to know before I take the old one out.
I didn't see one referenced in the shop manual

100% correct. These tend to rot out as well as the drain hole drops right on top of the tank
Great - GM discontinued it

Again, it should be with the new fuel pumps and/or assembly. Now there are little rubber o-rings that are on the bolts, you would have to get them from a parts store by matching them up. I've put the bolts on without the o-riings and haven't had any problems. It still passed the fuel tank pressure test during the emission inspection.
