Default ZR-1's for display

Back a while ago, I sent an subject line about ZR-1's on display at the Corvette Classic in May of this year. Some people did not like that so that was dropped. However, events changed the minds of the few in charge and we are going to have it. The guy in complete charge of the ZR-1's is looking for three or four Z's to complete the display. What he is looking for is a 90, 93, 94 and/or a 95. We already have a black 91 and 92 ZR-1. We would also like to have different colors. Black seems to be the common theme for some unknown reason, so we would like to have those cars in colors other than black. Heck, if you have a color other than black for a 92, I'll pull mine out and use yours.

This display is in conjunction with the ZR-1 Net Registry table that will be set up behind the cars. This event will be held on the 21st of May at the Texas Motor Speedway. The catch for all of this is that you have to register your car and you have to be there early on Saturday morning. The car is there until around 4 or 5pm. Those are the rules. If you fit the category that I have listed:

90, 93, 94 & 95 ZR-1 in a color other than black.
Register your car with the Lone Star Corvette Club Corvette Classic.
Show up early to position the car.
Willing to do it.

Then we would like for you to do it. Please contact me with your year of ZR-1 and color. You can pm me here. I need name, phone number and e-mail address. I will forward the information on to the coordinator of the event.

For anyone else, please consider displaying your ZR-1 at the Classic. You don't have to be a member of the club or the ZR-1 Net Registry to do this. We are trying to get as many ZR-1's out there that we can. Thanks.

Not because I wouldn't love to do it...just had a lot of health problems this year, so promising something down the line wouldn't be right.
I have a 'white/red interior '93 that was a cpc mule, and a '93 ruby/ruby anniversary.

Sounds pretty cool. If I still lived in DFW I'd be willing to do this. Alas, I'm a bit too far away for that now. Good luck and post some pics after the event.

I would like to do it, but I have to get my car back together and running before then. I have a 93 ruby 40th anniversary ZR-1. I will let you know if I can make it.

Default 40th ZR-1

Right now, we would really love to have a 93 Ruby Z there. I understand about mules and stuff like that but the 40th anniversary ZR-1 was the only ZR-1 that had different emblems, seats and interior than the other ZR-1's. The 40th ZR-1 is at the top of our list to show.

My red-on-red 90 will be there. I usually display every year, unless it rains

Default Still lokking for some ZR-1's

Actually, we are looking for another ZR-1 to fill out the display at the Corvette Classic at the Texas Motor Speedway in May. We have a 90, 91, 92. We need either a 93, 94 or 95 for the last slot. I was given only 3 slots to fill and I need one more car from the 90's to make my quota. Let me know. Right now, we really want a 40th ruby ZR-1 to complete the collection. Please consider this event.

Here's to hoping you get the one you desire and you will, the "brotherhood" has a way of coming through in times of need.

Well, the guy running the display has included a 2010 ZR-1, a 2009 ZR-1 and a C2 that has a LS9 engine in it and I think that he is working on a 2011 ZR-1. I got the other half of the eight cars. Just need another ZR-1 that is not a 90, 91 or a 92.

I have a 40th ZR-1 and I am interested, but my car is apart for a clutch replacement at the moment. I will see if I can get it finished by then.
