Default WTB Four 5 spoke GM rears

Hello everyone,

I have a friend who is building a street rod and asked me to help him find four GM rear (11") 1994-1995 5 spokes. They need to be nice, but NOS is not necessary. If you have pairs or singles please let me know via PM and I will put you together with him.

Thanks.

I've got a set of NOS GM amolds, 2 front, 2 rear - but there are NOT cheap. If he wants to talk turkey, let me know.

Dwight,

I'll let him know you have a full set. If he cant find someone who just has rears, he might have to pony up and buy two full sets and just maybe move the fronts to someone with a CE or regular C4.

Thanks,

Jason

He would save a TON of money by simply buying the aftermarket ones, often advertised right here on CF.
As you know the look is not that far off.
(OK, I also like to save the real ones for restoration efforts)
He could order 4 of the same and be ready to go!
Just a thought.

If he would decide to go the aftermarket route. But I wouldn't trust them on a track.

I can't tell from the photos...does anyone know if these repros are deep around the lugs like the originals or shallow like the other repros I have seen?

I believe Lee (LGAFF) has a nice set of AFS repros with the deep recessed lug area rears.

Jason,

His "requirements" are the 36mm offset? You mentioned street rod and building! Typically a rear is built between the tire/wheel combination desired rather than adding a tire/wheel combination. The front is done similarly. Has he tried an 11" - 36mm offset wheel for fit? Any ZR-1 rear would do.

What is this street rod? Snapshots maybe.

I've got two full sets of ZR-1 GM A-molds and I'd be interested in a conversation maybe more than a sale. Would I sell? Maybe!

If I were building I'd be very interested in using a wheel that would likely be a little more easily obtained should I slam a curb or whatever! There's certainly more of the OE Concepts 11" - 50mm wheels around than there is of the GM wheel. The OE Concepts have the deep lug pocket and the thin machined edge. Hard to tell from the original GS wheel. They do or did them in argent also.

Like Marty mentioned - "save the real thing for the ZR-1 Corvette"!

I've actually got a set of the OE Concepts on my ZR-1 with 16mm spacers.

Your A-molds came from me!! I've PM'd you a current email and phone number!

-Dave

Thanks for the replies everyone. I will relay these options to Bruce and he can go from there. If I were him, I would probably just use the repros and get the look and width he is looking for and give up the depth in the lugs. BTW the "Street Rod" is actually a '68 Chevy Pick up with a late model 6.0 swap. I don't really know any other details, he just mentioned he needed some wheels when he picked up my '89 1LE Camaro he bought last weekend. Bruce's cars have been featured in several GM performance magazines so I feel that the finished product will be just as nice.

I have a set of 89 ZR-1 wheels with new center caps that would look pretty cool on a truck
