Hi Craig!
Is your area rebuilding? I hope you are doing well.
As a last resort, you can call B&B. It may take a few
calls as the first few times I called I was told they will
only sell if you already have a B&B system. I got one
but it was about $300. I like it because the bends are
smooth and long- I figure it flows better than a weld in
"X". Vastly increased HP over the Borla resonator I
swapped out. Yes it resonates around 1800 rpm, but
BFD! Good Luck!

Hey Ted,

Thanks for asking, but this area (Yokohama) did not sustain much damage from the 3/11 disaster. The north areas that did are still very devastating and like anything else gets forgotten soon. I hope all is well with you too as well as your family.

As for the B & B, I do recall that speaking with Billy Boat's brother (I forgot his name) and they don't list it on their site or anything like that. The Stainless Works one looks pretty good too, but I thought I would solicit first as you never know as some folks change their mind after buying or trying something.

I agree with you about their design and primary hoping for a bolt on without a lot of work is the main reason and I have B & B triflos. I will probably regret it, but love it at the same time. When I entered the car show last weekend and all the old school cammed cars were entering I was really disappointed with my stock exhaust manifolds, but I had to put them on for emissions testing next week including air pump and all. I can't wait to take the junk off after I pass the inspections even with the pain in the **** it was and having to do it all again in a few years. Nothing like making a statement and I have SGC Stage I cams so I want to make use of them and let her breathe.

Thanks for your thoughts and input. Take care.

Ted,

Thanks for sharing and a very nice set up. So no cats, right? If I add cats in my set up I might be able to get away with the normal base inspection in 3 years since I only have to do the government emissions test once. The base has emissions test but not so severe and mainly looking for some cats. I have the long tube SW so it appears difficult to get even a short bullet cat on the driver's side.

If I could make a suggestion, I was also going to buy a 3" B&B X pipe for my B&B system. I stumbled across a 3" Magnaflow unit and bought that for around $100 brand new, and am extremely pleased with the quality and fit. Why pay $300 for essentially the same thing?

Thanks. I'll check it out. Do you have a part number and is it stainless too? I appreciate the info.

Glad to help maybe you can get some sections from the same seller shipped to Japan and cut it to fit. Your right thats a great barebones price. I was not sure if you had seen it. GC

I see some folks selling straight pipes on the bay for a reasonable price, but I would have to weigh it all out to see if worth it in my situation. I know that I bought a Magnaflow X pipe from a member that looks similar and it did not fit comfortably in the tunnel we have in our cars. I would have to measure again since I don't remember the size of that MF one versus this one. It does not appear the seller has any piping, but I did inquire just in case. It still seems like more work to mess with this than the custom fit SW or B&B, but at $350? Thanks again!

This is the small, abrupt X. I wanted a longer, smoother X for better flow. To each their own...

Ted,
There is some truth in you get what you pay for and I hear what you're saying about the design and flow. I'm going to call B&B to speaking with Billy's brother again because he offered a great deal at the time and I should have jumped on it then.
