Has anyone dealt w/ ZR51 ZF Doc? UPDATE w/REVIEW
I'm looking for anyone with feedback. I would like him to service my ZF and do some other mechanical work to the car. Getting ready to drop it off with him. Any concerns??
UPDATE 10-24
Brought the car to Bill to check the fluid level in tranny because of a small leak. I'm glad I did!! He went though the whole drivetrain and found a mulitude of things that needed to be addressed. He basically re-worked the whole drivetrain changing out damaged or woreout and in some cases(alot actually) simply the wrong parts had been installed during the conversion. The final Invoice was very fairly priced (I think I got the better end of the deal). He kept me informed along the way as he found things wrong and got my OK as we went. The end result is the car feels like a totally different car. O and I was bed ridden the week that it was completed(10-24) so he delivered the car to me very late in the eve as I requested because I couldn't drive. That was a 2.5hr round trip for him and his chase vehicle(at no extra charge)!!!!! I also got his short shifter installed and its awesome. Now I know why he made me drive his personal car a LS1 ZF C4 w/short shifter
So I def recommend Bill and just wanted to give him and his mechanic Greg props.

Safety Car
I had Bill rebuild and upgrade a brand new blue tag zf for my 93 several years back. Was a great transaction beginning to end. trans shifted like butter and his shor shifter is awesome. Held up to 8k rpm shifts and several top speed runs right till that motor grenaded.

Bill knows his stuff about C4 & ZR-1 & his partner Greg also
He has moved on a bit building these C6 race cars
No concerns
He did rebuild my trans some 40K ago, still going great

More "CUDOS" for Bill!
I contracted with him to "blueprint" a new ZF and perform some mods do address an occasional inherent problem with internal oiling. The thing worked like jewel; shifted butter smooth, no rattles...all good!
He's a class act to deal with - all 'round.

I rebuilt my ZF6 back in 99. (synchro, front bearings and rear seal) but there is no way I could have blueprinted and used Cryogenic hardening on the components as Bill offers.
I've never heard of anyone being dissatisfied with his work !!
