415" ZR-1 vs SUPRA, JULIO, You gotta read this!!!!!!!!!

Re: (houstonT)
You didn't specify a unit of measure you mental midget (yeah you are smart allright):) When most people speak of boost we speak of PSI or BAR. No biggie as you are lying about running 1.5 mystery units anyway as proved by the above post:)

Re: (T66Supra)
I did specify it, you just didn't read it (look at my 3:36 post SMART GUY)... Now go back to making yourself look stupid, it's amusing! I can't play anymore little boy, i must go now to class (that's right, some of us who are working on our Master's degree have better things to do than look like idiots - in other words i'm done making you look like an idiot for now)
Bye bye

Re: (houstonT)
HAHA! You made that post AFTER I said BAR, of course:) Lets recap you first LIED about the time you ran (11.0 at 18 PSI), you then lied about the gas you used, and then you lied about the boost you ran to run 136 MPH traps.
I'm glad you are taking classes, God, and anyone reading this thread, knows you need all the help you can get:) Maybe you should take a class in ethics, perhaps then you will learn that LYING is not an acceptable behavior:)
See you at the National Supra meet in October:)

It was about time those guys got kicked off... It was like a soap opera... You could skip 10 postings and they would still be talking the same poopie about each other...
All I want to know is who wins when Kurt... aka... limey... has his 415 dialed in so he show the Supra guys the "wide band" power curve on the bottle...

thanks SW. I've seen Paul and Norm's cars run and they are really impressive and have lots more potential. I don't blame you guys for sticking to the "limited production" contract and I certainly wouldn't sell the TT ZR1s either.
what I'm really interested in is if any of the other major league tuners/fabricators could step up and do more TT ZR1s
you have experience with lots of the heavy hitters and I have been quietly on my own trying to attract them without much success.
I think the twin turbo ZR1s are amazing and would like to get more of them built. the LT5 is a great platform (although not cheap) and as the turbo surpas, buicks, vettes prove, the turbo cars run hard on the street and do well on the track.
the high tech turbo cars make a truely streetable high HP car possible, and after driving my turbo buick since 87 (around 650 HP, very docile driving car) I would like to build around 850 rwhp in a TT Vette.
I may have to resort to a C5 or even a C6 to do it, but the TT ZR1 is what really interests me most.
let me know if you have any folks other than LPE that might be interested.
I have contacted Jim Hall, Mallet, Callaway, and SGC. SGC is interested in the engine building, but need help with the fab of the plumbing and tuning.
I may just get in touch with some "non vette" tuners and use Aaron for the engine building.
LPE would be my first choice based on their experiences, but I do understand you guys wanting to stay "limited production"
makes the cars very special and valuable indeed.
thanks SW et al for any info/interest

Re: (Rkreigh)
Dear TT ZR-1 owners
Iam wondering why the current owners of the 4 TT ZR-1s would not want more bretheren in the same league as them... Seems to me 4 TT's is not near enough... These cars will alway have a special status reserved exclusively for them in the world of ZR-1's... even if there were 20 or 30 of them... they would still be world class Corvettes second only in some ways to exotics costing many times more... and out of most enthusiast reach... including me...
I guess the "King of the Hill" TT style is a position only to be held by 4 owners until they get tired of it and decide it is time for a change... Why else would you want to keep these so limited? The price will always be over the top for most ZR-1 owners... as it concerns current ZR-1 owners and their priorities...
Yes, I realize the difficulty in producing one TT is a long and arduous task... In no way do I think the building of these awesome Corvettes is to be taken lightly...
Besides... wouldn't a TT ZR-1 be a potential "Blow the Top" off the 24 hour speed record if somebody wanted to retake the Throne ???
Yes... exclusivity does affect resale... by how much is the question?
Perhaps my argument is weak... but I had to ask...
No flames intended...

The supras day will come, probably soon. Look at all the advancements in the LS1 and LS6 superstrokers, not to mentio what they will do if any of the 5 or 6 developing turbo kits actually comes out.

Re: (BiZ)
My reference to a turbo in a ZR-1 is not the typical high boost situation... It would have to be conservatively tuned for the event...
The main emphasis being reliability... plenty of cooling hardware... and a well monitored set of gauges... Anything is possible... however... it may not be practical... just thinking out loud...
