Default 235 mph one mile zr-1

Looked at the results of the Arkansas Mile and noticed that a twin turbo ZR-1 posted a 235 MPH speed: https://www.usmileracing.com/full-re...&ps=1&event=20

Anyone know the history of this car? The data page shows it as a 440 inch or larger displacement engine. I was under the impression that none of the 440 LT5's had turbos. Makes my 415 car look very puny.

Theres a few turbo cars out there. I think Lingenfelter did most of what's out there.

I am well aware that Lingenfelter built 4 cars, SGC one, Callaway one or two but none were 440 cars. Spoke to Marc yesterday and he did not know of any big displacement LT5's that were twin turbo cars. Marc suggested that it may be a ZR-1 with a big block rather than an LT5 since it had a displacement of 440 inches or greater. The 235 MPH run really got my attention compared to my 180-185 passes in my 415 built by Marc.

I know of at least 1 441 LT-5, and now a 445 here in Chicagoland. However, both are N/A.

Hey Phil - I thought you were going to "spring with a link to the car" LOL - Rick had very much to do with Dave's Obsession

Dave,
Sorry, Texas Mile site wouldn't allow photo linking so you'll have to use the link if you want to see what the car looks like

I tried to follow the link and determine if the engine is an LT5. I must be missing something so is the car powered by a 440+ CID LT5 with twin turbos? If so my only reaction can be "HOLY SAMOLI."

It's a big block, not an LT5 - car was at the TX Mile in March being cared for by Corey.
Corey built the LT5 that's in Rick's Bonneville black '90. I don't know if Corey built the big block in the red '93 ...

There are 13 total. The biggest is a 385cu in in Texas.

4- Lingenfelter
3- Callaway
2- SGC, 3 if you count Wayne car being done twice.
1- Mallet
1- Nelson Racing ( I do believe that engine blew up on the dyno)
2- Raptor (1 that is at Henderson Performance, 1 owned by Ron Hanselman)
