May check out this 96, LT4
Not thrilled its at a dealer, but it looks OK, and seems to be priced close. What is the electronic suspension dampening? If it has it shouldn't there be a selector switch on the console? Thanks..

Starting at (asking) 12,800 is good. Plus 40k on the ticker is nice. Just be sure to check EVERYTHING on the car to see if it works.
Plus, from Illinois, I'd be looking for winter driving rust.

Will look at this car tomorrow, I'll check it over closely and insist on a long 30 min test drive. There are a lot of vettes for sale locally so any BS from them and I'll keep looking. Will report back!

Good luck! Please push every button, every on off switch and all the HVAC system operations.
Don't fall for the "Its probably just a little low on Freon"
BTW... Demon340... dodge guy? I'm a reformed Mopar crazy myself

Well checked out this LT4, body and paint looked good except for the dent in mirror, few scratches but overall good to very good for 20 year old. Tires were mismatch , rears were Goodyear F1 from 1997 I think front and rear hard and worn, started up fine good oil psi , no lights on, seemed to idle at 1k slight miss but maybe normal?? Clutch felt spongy and in neutral slight noise like throw out bearing went away when pushing pedal down. Drive was ok but felt odd with the tires,, engine had old oil around the intake and front like a seep somewhere. To me it looks like it was rode hard and not much in the way maintenance also the parking brake didn't work. Made no offer. Now going to check a 1 owner 93.

The throw out bearing noise is pretty normal for the ZF blue-tag transmission, but everything else is a clue to indifferent care. You have to drive a few C4's, but once you drive a good one, you'll know it.
