And when the ZR-1 windshield is delaminated?
Found a nice low mile 1990. But the windshield is delaminated to the point of being a problem. Vision is affected.
What is is the solution? Replace with what?
Thanks.

There are ZR-1 repro's available from different sources, you can check on the ZR-1 Forum for more info or send me a PM for the info.
Although the "original" ZR-1 windshields are more expensive than the regular C4 units, mostly likely you can get the insurance to cover the cost, due to the delam and that the ZR-1 windshield is specific to the ZR-1.

Safelite installed a standard C4 in my Z for about $400. I love it! I thought about an original, but having experienced the clarity of the glass sans that reflective film of the original Z glass - i wouldn't take an original/repo Z w/s if you gave it to me. (Not to mention the $2000 or so price tag for a repo w/s.)
That said, my Z is "modded" somewhat, and it would never be an NCRS candidate (now). So, if keeping it original is important, repos are available...

If you are going to enjoy driving this is the best option. If your worried about originality down the road just store the removed one.
