Default 1990 ZR1 limp home mode (c41)

Hi All,

1990 ZR1 owner here in Australia. The other day I got into start the car and I noticed, with the key on the radiator fan comes on. Start the car and it runs terribly and dies.

SES light is on continuously. When I tried to jump A to B the SES light does not flash. Jumping A threw 1- C41, H41, H74. Also 4 - Err

Am I correct to say that there is no communication with the ECM?

It just seems very odd that this could happen all of a sudden. Car has 20k miles

Perhaps maybe fuel pump? But I dont know if this would cause SES with key on.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Joel

injectors are problematic on the 90 to 92 cars. Have your injectors been replaced?

Could be primary fuel pump failure. Unplug both pumps and swap the pumps around to the other pump and vice versa. If it runs as it should you lost the primary fuel pump. If not injectors could be an issue as well.
