Wish I had a spare $25k just lying around, what a steal.
The DRM upgrade alone probably cost more than that.

It would be interesting to find out more about the car, while there are 8 documented black widows I talked with Geoff Jeal and he noted that he had records for 14 actually

Probably stating the obvious here, but let’s not confuse the “Black Widows” with “Widow Makers” here. Based on my minimal understanding ( someone will no doubt correct me) “Black Widows” were the first and had some degree of “factory” involvement.” “Widow Makers” came later and were Rippies solo attempt to capitalize on the “Widow” name and performance.

I talked to Doug about the Widow Maker name, and it was not a name that Rippie Motorsports created. It was a name made up by one of the early customers of a DRM600 engine (applied to his specific engine only, and was not a series or engines or a particular build). It was never a "thing" like the Black Widow series.

Car did not originally go to DRM, but t has been there for repairs to (I believe) a broken cam. DRM built the engine, which was then sent to a Chevrolet dealer for install. The owner thats had the engine built was pretty full of himself and did a lot of self=promoting.
