The key activates or De-activates the secondaries.
Cannot imagine what else could it be changing in a third position?
Sounds intriguing.

What could it possibly be "programmed" to do that would generate another 100 horsepower?
What other horsepower generating source could it possibly be controlling in a third position?
While it may sound skeptical, that is because in 28 years around ZR-1's there has never been mention of such.
I am sure that you have a very nice ZR-1, but there is no magic wand within it, that can do something equivalent to what the secondaries contribute. when activated with the first turn of the key taking your 375 to 475.
A 575 hp 600 DRM is created in the lower end of the motor by increasing the cubes.
There is no additional source of power.
Still a great car, just helping define better what it is.

I appreciate your concern but I know what I have I know what Doug Rippie told me I have signed documents from the rippie and GM. And will no longer need anybody posting on this thanks And I know for sure that it is in those three settings because I’ve had it dynoed with the first turn of the valet key the second turn of the valet key in the third turn of the valet key the Dyno has verified all three hp thanks
