i can handle this.

however, i've also read in a thread for a 1990 that if the infl rest light is on, then the seat belt light must also come on. in my 91 i do not have this. i only have the infl rest light on.

i know that this system must function correctly for me to obtain registration in my province.

does anyone know if...for the 91...the infl rest light can come on without the seat belt light also coming on?

Check the ground on the passenger side rail behind the side fender. Solved the issue on my friends 90 ZR-1 years ago. Disconnect the battery while working on it. I took the great prevention of opening both windows and hatch before reconnecting battery.

1990 and 1991 Infl Rest issues can be different and can require different diagnostics. This thread might help. Make sure you have a 1991 FSM and follow the diagnostics there. Also check out Dynomite’s excellent help thread on the subject. It’s the sticky at the top of this forum section both here and over at the Registry forum.
