Anything is possible with enough money and time. This swap would test the limits of both.

A $40 dollar bit of advice before you embark on your quest. Go, find, and purchase a copy of Anthony Young's "Heart of the Beast".
This subject comes up from time to time. The general consensus was to just buy a ZR-1. That book will pretty much make your decision for you. The ZR-1 is a very unique Corvette.

Just buy a ZR1. You can buy a 90 ZR1 with less than 20,000 mi.
for 22 to 25k. There has been a lot of ZR1's selling in this price
range in the last year. :yesnod:

Lots & lots of good advice given here in response to your question. I vote the same as they did. :grouphug:
Sell your 91/L98 and then buy you a ZR-1. :iagree:

I believe I have read some articles in the Corvette rags about LT5's being transplanted into earlier non computer Corvettes. One that comes to mind is a transplant into a 65 Vette. The electronic situations must be easier to overcome in the older Vettes. I haven't as yet heard of anyone doing a C-4 Vette, but it doesn't mean it can't be done. 84 CF 91 ZR-1
