Nat02z06,
I am not trying to impress anyone. You stated that they quit making the
ZR1 because it was marginally quicker than a LT1,which is something that
from experience,I know to be a false statement

But the bigger question is who gives a flying crap? This is one of the dumber threads I've ever seen.
ZR1 - Cool. Fast.
Z06 - Cool. Fast.
Good grief.

Okay, that's enough. This thread has gotten too far off from what I intended. bhamvett, best of luck to you with your ZR1.

Thanks for the input George - I know in my heart that you're right on the money, cause the nimbleness of the Z06 is stellar - I've driven my buddies, and its like a friggin go-kart. I guess what I should have stated, was that my ZR1 now handles WAY better with the addition of the supercar tires. That said, some coil overs could make it much better still.
More to the point : I can't wait for the C6 to come out - so I can get me a Z06 :yesnod: ......... CHEAP!!!

heh you guys are freakin me out :)
fastest on low end, fastest on top end, best handling, rarity, mod potential.....
wow, only thing missing is the point of about 12 years of technological changes (not always to the best).
im gonna show my total ignorance here by saying i would take the new z06 for a daily driver.why? 99% of the people i know dont have a clue about exotic rare cars and every one of em would surely think a 2002 corvette is a big step up from a 1990.
plus theres the resale.gonna be easier for someone to finace the newer vehicle for the same money range, and theres that huge uninformed mass of wannabe vette owners knockin on the door for the c5,if not just for the looks of it.
and if i was overly concerned about bragging rights i'd pick up a viper.
(and yes,i do know that a viper is the most obnoxius ill handling, cook your hotdogs on the floor boards ratttle trap ever produced)
:boxing
congrats on the quick move, goes to show-you can always turn the vette into cash!
hope you get into a new ride that fits the bills better soon
