I am the previous owner of the ZR-1 that "Pace This" bought. I will be very honest with you all and that is that untill that car's demise that fateful day in the rain, that car was awsome!!!
The engine recieved Mobil one changes every 2500 miles or sooner if I had a bug up my butt about it. The trannie and rear recieved the same fluid changes about every 10k. I'm a nut about fluids. They are cheaper than parts (and I have a family friend that owns a Insty Lube franchise).
The car developed on the dyno @ NCRS in Orlando last year 366hp and 380 lbs. of torque. That's very strong for a stock LT5. The car has an X pipe, magnaflow straight thru Race Series exhaust, it still has the cats and has a stock chip in it now but had a Doug Rippie chip when the dyno was done.
I was going to part the car out myself but just didn't have the time.
Rest assured that all of the mechanical components are very solid. During the wreck, the car did not hit anything. It just spun around and landed in some soft sand then the wheels got caught in the sand in the side of the road and the car rolled over and back onto it's wheels.
Anyone can feel free to call me in Tampa @ 813-230-7815 if you want more info.
GOOD LUCK Pace This, you are selling good parts to the community! :smash:
Catbucs,
Getting a lot of interest in the A-mold wheels...can't find GM insignia on them, are they original, or an aftermarket like AFS? When you had the car, did it have LTPWS sensors in them? I'll measure tire depth for everyone, but any idea approx. miles on them?
Also, can you ballpark the cost of the magnaflow exhaust? I may keep it for my next car, it sure is nice :)
Josh, the GM wheels will have a JWL cast into them as well as a 8 digit GM part number.
If they are AFS, they will say so and give the wheel specs on the inside of the spokes.
that JWL is on the outboard side on the outer lip the three letters are all writen together the j touches the W and the W touches the L so its all one clump of letters its not a stamp but a casting.
The rear wheels are after market but I was forced to buy the fronts from the local Chevy dealer. I took them out of the GM box so I know that they are factory.
Can you tell that they are aftermarket? I can't tell the difference. :troll

yep you sure can tell if they are factory or aftermarket, Not by looking at the rim but by looking at the castings, thats the only way to tell because the original GM A molds were cast in japan and they have that JWL mark on the outside of the rim...aftermarket rims will be without this marking.
