Its that time again :-)
Time to make my trip up North again, to KY. that is, picking up the "new" & "improved" 415.
Ended up doing a dropped plenum, as well as adding 2 30lb per hr. Injectors as opposed to the 19.5lb pieces of rubbish that were in there before.
I'm looking at laying down some serious smack on the dyno, the numbers from last time were 716 crank HP, i am hoping to add.
The direct port NOS kit is done, so next time i put the motor in the car, (middle of next week), i will be ready to spray it. No more delays and no more testing.
It will be nice if i can tune the car @ Aarons this month, esp. since it's still cool, with adding those bigger injectors, i doubt the car will want to run at all, you never know though, i may get lucky.
Anyway, just wanted to drop a quick note, i don't come in here much these days, but as soon as the cars back on the road, i'll report my results, i may even post the dyno chart this time, we'll see :-)
What's the weather like in KY. can i ride up there in my shorts & T- Shirt :)
It was 75 + degress here today!

LIMEY there is a Vette viper shootout sched for 4 April at Bradenton. It sponsored by Breathless you going?
Aaron might want to look at this:

The autoprom with the TunerPro software will be an invaluable tool in getting the normal drivability right. I'm trying to get a good .ecu file for the tuning using this tool. I have the hardware and sw but have not used it yet.

I can not wait to see what your car is going to put out. This thing is just obscene at this point. And I love it.

Good luck with the beast Kurt. I will be interested in your experience tuning the 30 lb injectors.
I am going with 24lbers on mine. I think that should be enough with my mild N/A 415. A lot better than the 19.5 lbers that were in it.
These things can be a pain in the butt sometimes but nothing and I mean NOTHING sounds like a big cube LT5 rapping it out at 7,300 rpm. Best sounding motor ever put in a American Hot Rod. Wooooooo Whooooooo!!!!

Just got back into town.
The motor looks flipping magic, you wait till you see the Direct port, i'll post pics tomorrow sometime.
The dropped plenum is huge, since i don't have any secondaries and all the hoses under my plenum are removed, Bill was able to drop the plenum even more, this car is going to make some serious high rpm power.
I will be reinstalling the motor in the next few days, so by Friday, it will be back in the car, then i just need to re calibate the ecm, going from 19.5 to 30lb injectors is going to make the car run pig rich, but once tuned, it should pick up power too.
I'll keep you guys posted.

It's alive, i got it fired up today, but damn, it's running pig rich, i'm surprised it runs at all with 2 30lb injectors @ 100% duty cycle.
In fact, i'm not going to run it anymore until i can get some fuel taken out of the ECM, it's that bad, i could end up washing the rings away.
It started on the money though, 70 + PSI oil pressure and nice and "quiet", no engine noises that would be, just a slight cam lope
The NOS is on, i'll get the car cleaned up & take some pics of the NOS kit, it looks pretty intimidating & fit perfect.
That's all to report for now, may be a couple weeks before i can get to the dyno and tune it, all depends on how Jim Smiths schedule is.
Tata.

Tyler:
If the car is done, i will go to Bradenton for the drag race.
