Default Preventing Intake Collapse

Hey guys...

I saw an item you insert in the plastic intake leading up to your plenium to prevent collapse while under acceleration but, I can't find it anywhere now. I thought I would add this piece to make sure I didn't suffer any collapse.

Anybody out there have a link for that small piece? --Randy

Mark Coplin air duct will solve your problem. I bought mine in BG from Mark who insisted that he install it for me. I can't seem to find where to order it from right now. I think he is on the ZR-1 net though.

edit: I've heard of people making there own insert...but I would rather pay the extra money and buy one already made.

I could have sworn I saw a link on one of the forums for one.... I'm like you, I'd rather buy one pre-made. I can't imagine it would be that hard of an install....

Its $75.00 for non-ZR-1.net Gold members:
You get a new Air-duct also.....

"AIR-DUCT / PLUS"- NO MORE COLLAPSED AIR-DUCT
Does your LT-5 engine suffer from a collapsed Air Duct? It's a known fact the stock accordion designed air duct that feeds our monster motors begins to collapse and choke off power when the following conditions occur:
1)Elevated under hood temperatures,
2) Wide-Open-Throttle, "WOT",
3) Softening of plastic from age.

These factors negatively effect air draw into our engines.

The introduction of Air-Duct / Plus will make these power robbing conditions a thing of the past. Air-Duct / Plus incorporates a heavy gauge insert of T-304 polished stainless steel. The insert is pressed into a GM stock air duct, the insert actually expands the stock duct by up to 15%.

Air-Duct / Plus benefits; Elimination of collapsing air duct. Smoother air flow, (accordion design is disruptive to air flow and restricts air volume)retain GM stock appearance

Gold Net Members can order an Air-Duct / Plus for $65.00 (normally $75) shipping included, USA. This includes a brand new stock GM air duct with the stainless steel insert installed.

To purchase or for more info contact Mark Coplon at 1-847-619-6034 or email Mark at mjcoplon@amp.com .

Nobody out there laugh...

Buy a can of Family sized Campbell's soup- I like cream of mushroom. Eat or throw out the soup. Remove the label and both ends. Wash well as soup will gum up an LT5. Insert inside the factory duct to keep the original look. No other mods necessary.

The family size can is the key!

The soup can idea is a good one, but I would rather spend the extra money and make sure that it is done right.
