Congratulations on the baby!

I wish I could afford your car, but sadly I cannot.

If you would permit me to give you some good advice on raising children, I would say this.

1) Read to your children. It instills interest in reading. Reading builds vocabulary, and vocabulary enables them to talk about their problems, likes and dislikes. They communicate more, and act up less.

2) Respect your children. Treat them almost like adults. I believe they know and understand more than we give them credit for.

3) Demand the respect of your child. Love them and cherish them, but whey they do wrong, they need to know it is unacceptable. It may just be with a few stern words, or "the look", but they need to know bad behavior will not be tolerated. If you say to a child "If you do that one more time, I'm going to ______." Then you need to be prepared to do it, if they do not listen. Otherwise, the child will learn they do not have to respect you.

4) Love them like every day you spend with them is your last.

O.K. Sorry about that. Hopefully you're not offended. I just wanted to pass on some knowledge. I get compliments all the time from family and strangers on how well my children behave, so I sat down and thought about why my kids receive these compliments. It seems to boil down to respect for themselves and others, and an ability to communicate.

Good luck with the sale.

Thanks, guys! It sucks to have to let it go, especially due to the low mileage and condition, but at least we'll still have the C5 and a son or daughter will bring far more happiness (and possibly an equal amount of frustration ) than a Vette ever could.

CSS996> I write children's books so I can assure you the reading part will be covered in spades.

Far out! I am a video producer. Right now I make local TV commercials and industrial long format videos, but someday, I'd like to create a children's TV show.

Best of luck to you and your family.

Sorry to see you sell your car, I think you will find that in the long run, cars are FAR cheaper than children. Take my word for it, one on his way to becoming a lawyer, the other is still up in the air. On the plus side, the older one promised me a new Vette when he becomes a trial lawyer..........................will see!!!
