Hi I'm new here and in the market for a C4 vette. Does anyone know of any at a reasonable price in the New York Area? I'm nervous about buying a car that I cant see and drive first. Also, is a two tone bronze metallic 1985 C4 with about 57,000 miles worth $6000,00 in nice shape? The price doesn't sound bad but i don't know about the color. Thanks in advance.

Your car looks great but I'm far away in New York. Heres the link to the bronze vette.

Everything sounds good except the color, which isn't that bad but it isn't red or black!

Wow, Wish I lived in Florida! All the bargains on great cars seem to be down there. Nothing up here in New York!

If you really want a C4, hold out for the best one - get a 96 with the LT4 motor.

You are where I was 1 year ago. I bought my 87 in Feb, 2007. Here's what I know from hindsight:
I bought my car for $7k. Ended up putting $2k more into it to make it right. Now I'm putting more into it on my own because it's a disease.
My 87 has grown on me, but if I had it to do over, I'd buy an LT1 car. LT1 has +50HP over an L98. Do yourself a favor, buy an LT1, 92 and up.
Don't cheap out. I did. I tried to find the rock bottom best deal. Stupid plan. Look for a good car for a fair price.
Finally, there are buyer's guides. Look for them. If you have trouble find on, pm me and I'll let you know where you can find one.
Take your time, don't be in a hurry, it's a buyer's market. For $9k-$10k you can get a very good LT1 car that will make you smile every time you drive it!

Default Vette

I agree; I've narrowed my search to 92-96 vette.

Charlie, winter is a slow time of year for the sales of Corvettes, in the North, anyway. Keep searching and learning.
