Default Transport info

I have used these guys below to transport a few different Corvettes and so far they've been great and very reasonable.

Examples of prices I paid:
85 Corvette from Boston MA to Des Moines IA 650.00,
87 Corvette convert. from Miami to Des Moines 500.00
NON Running 69 Corvette from Dallas Texas to Des Moines 600.00
78 Corvette from Chicago to Des Moines 350.00

Much cheaper than trying to go after the car yourself.

Good Luck

Don't bother with Horseless Carriage. They are way overpriced and literally lost one my cars for 21 days once. Worthless.

Try Larry Arnold Trucking or Stehle transport. google them. That route is in their scope of travel.

Yeah but:

With who's plates? The seller usually will want to take them off, as well as cancel insurance.

The new owner can not get it registered until he has the title. And the seller's not giving up any title until he has the funds in FULL. Even if the buyer brings the funds with him, he'll still need to go back to HIS state and register it at his DMV.

So unless the buyer has a "dealer plate" to use, or the seller wants to take a big risk and let the seller drive it home with his plates/insurance...how is this done??

Anyway- I have had a few vehicles shoipped to me, and the best prices I've got was from "Express auto Transport". They'll do door to door, or terminal to door, etc...

The last one was an 01 Silverado 2500HD I found on eBay. One my website members happened to live 5min from the truck (Joliet, Il), and he was kind enough to gve the truck a thorough lookover for me. When it got his OK, I had it shipped to me. This was in Jul 06, the truck's still great! Was a GREAT deal, too- even after $hipping.

You can go to the local DMV in the city where you're buying the car and get an "in-transit" tag or a 3-5 day "driveaway" tag. Nominal expense.
