Default 1988 Silver Chevrolet Corvette For Sale

This car will make heads turn! It looks much newer than it is and people are always in shock when we tell them the year.

* 1 of 385 Silver Corvettes made in 1988.
* This is a 35th Anniversary car with both tops - silver and smoked.
* 86,141 miles. New tires and battery in 2007.
* The original spare tire, jack, and bag are there.
* Z-52 Package.

This car has been appraised for $14,000 but we are asking $12,500. I'm planning on taking it to Bloomington Gold at the end of June if I don't sell it sooner. Car is also listed locally.

My wife has enjoyed driving this car to work during the summer months.

Please email if you want to see pictures...it is a must see!

We live 25 minutes east of St. Louis. Local pick up only.

$12,500.00 is overpriced for a 1988 Corvette. The 1988 Corvette produced 240 HP. For the same money people can buy a 1998 Corvette with an LS1 engine that produces 345 HP and has improved over the C4 in every way. There were 366,227 C4 Corvettes made, they are not in short supply. Add in all the other generation Corvettes and there are a million of them out there. When I saw the thread title, I figured the price would be around $5,000 and someone would talk him down to $4000 or $4500. The 1988 Corvette doesn't even have the LT1 engine, and the six speed wasn't available until 1989. The 1988 is closer to the 1984 C4 Corvettes than the LT1 C4 Corvettes.

Lets not forget the fact that Anniversary cars were not silver.

P.S. at that price you will definetly make it to Bloomington gold.

These are some very good points. However...lets start with RPO code 13U which is the Silver Metallic Paint. Again 1 of 385 in 1988. The red covered around a 1/3 of the colors, so not a very rare car. I know there are lots of C4s out there, trust me, we searched and searched for a clean one. About 75% of them were ragged out and were in the $7500-$9000 price range. We feel our car is in the top 25%. I know you can get a bigger motor in the next gen, but personally I don't care for the looks of those cars near as much as the C4s and I know many others out there feel the same way.

I understand we are not going to come together guys, and it sounds like you buy and sell these frequently. We know we have some room in our price, but this is not a bargain car for $8000, then you can go out and make $4000 on it. We know the value of this car and have done our research. So we'll keep searching for the buyer and you keep searching for the deal.
